We collect minimal information: page-view analytics (no personally identifying tracking), email addresses for newsletter subscribers, and comment authorship if you choose to comment. We never sell your data.

Functional cookies (session, theme), a single privacy-preserving analytics cookie, and — when you accept the consent banner — cookies set by our advertising partners. You can decline; direct sponsorships will still appear, but third-party ad networks won't load.

Advertising

TON Daily News carries two kinds of ads: direct sponsorships (sold by us) and ads served by third-party networks. Direct ads are clearly labeled "Sponsored" and use only first-party assets — we don't install third-party retargeting pixels on our readers.

Network ads may use cookies and similar technologies to personalize ads and measure performance. The networks we may activate include: Google AdSense, Coinzilla, Bitmedia, and A-Ads. Each has its own privacy policy. You can decline ad cookies via the consent banner; you can also opt out of personalized ads at Google's Ads Settings.

Post feed personalization

The /posts feed (our Reels-style feed of social embeds) quietly learns which topics you engage with — views, taps, and shares — so it can show more of what you're interested in. That learning happens entirely on your device: it's stored in your browser's local storage, is never transmitted to our servers or anyone else's, and isn't tied to an account or to you across devices. We can't see it, and neither can any third party. Clearing your browser's site data for TON Daily News resets it instantly — there's nothing further to request or delete on our end.

Ad-impression data

When a direct ad serves on a page you visit, we record the slot, the page path, your user-agent, and a salted hash of your IP address. The hash rolls daily and cannot be reversed to recover the IP. We use this data only for impression deduplication and reporting to advertisers.
